The California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Conservation Engineering Branch provides technical expertise in the fields of fish passage, hydraulic engineering, hydrology, engineering geology, hydrogeology, and fluvial geomorphology to meet the needs of the Department’s programs and Regional responsibilities on a statewide basis. We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Senior Civil Engineer to provide engineering expertise for maintaining, enhancing, or restoring connectivity for wildlife species across barriers related to transportation infrastructure, primarily the state highway system. The incumbent will work closely with CDFW programs and regional staff statewide to support the planning, design, and construction of wildlife connectivity infrastructure projects. The incumbent works collaboratively with the California Department of Transportation and represents CDFW before the public and with other agencies.
