If you have chosen\u00a0<strong>NOT<\/strong>\u00a0to interact with R through RStudio, then these directions explain how to install package from within R. If you have chosen to use RStudio, then goto\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/units.fisheries.org\/fits\/fishr\/r-in-action\/ifar\/supplements\/installing-packages\/\">the directions for installing packages within RStudio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open R. (<em>If R is not installed, then follow these directions to install R for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/units.fisheries.org\/fits\/fishr\/r-in-action\/ifar\/supplements\/install-r-on-mac\/\">Mac OS<\/a>.<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Select the\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">Packages &amp; Data<\/code>\u00a0menu and\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">Packages Installer<\/code>\u00a0submenu item.\n<div class=\"ctrstaticimg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/derekogle.com\/IFAR\/supplements\/installations\/figures\/InstallPkgs_RMac_Menu1.PNG\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the dialog box, click\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">Get List<\/code>\u00a0to compile a current list of available packages.\n<div class=\"ctrstaticimg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/derekogle.com\/IFAR\/supplements\/installations\/figures\/InstallPkgs_RMac_GetList.PNG\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the packages to install (use the\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">&lt;command&gt;<\/code>\u00a0key to select multiple packages). Make sure the\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">Install Dependencies<\/code>\u00a0option is selected. Click\u00a0<code class=\"language-plaintext highlighter-rouge\">Install Selected<\/code>\u00a0and R should now install these packages plus all packages that these depend on.
