You can read about the committee here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/fisheries.org\/about\/committees\/standing-committees-2\/resource-policy-committee\/__;!!PRtDf9A!-yWNbVrEvb6_UoRrbIRasCrfBVqpHkI0Ts06eo5nGafzTPNuSSj7j5vciBCGCJ5j$\"><span style=\"color: #666666\">https:\/\/fisheries.org\/about\/committees\/standing-committees-2\/resource-policy-committee\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\" style=\"background: white;margin: 0in 0in .25in 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: black\">If you are interested in serving as the\u00a0<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-weight: normal\">FITS representative<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0on the AFS Resource Policy Committee, then please send a short message explaining your interest to Secretary Kayla Key (<a href=\"mailto:kayla.key@tn.gov\"><span style=\"color: #666666\">kayla.key@tn.gov<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;margin: 0in 0in .25in 0in\"><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: #444444\">Communications and Outreach Coordinator (COC) <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;text-align: start;margin: 0in 0in .25in 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: #444444\">The COC oversees section outreach and communications with Section and Society members. Activities and duties include emails to members, social media posts (Twitter and Facebook), and managing web content (website experience not required). The COC often assists with our annual meeting efforts (continuing education, symposium), and attends most monthly ExCom meetings. COC projects that are appropriate to the Section are encouraged. For example, Sarah, our past COC, published a series of tech articles for the Section News part of Fisheries magazine (<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/afspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/fsh.10236__;!!PRtDf9A!_mbHSm6qSsnMoPQRD5H3lU6tiRI2kzHF4Z1VOkuz5sRpjDQilkfDPQROxR-P0YIf$\"><span style=\"color: #666666\">example 1<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/afspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/fsh.10236__;!!PRtDf9A!_mbHSm6qSsnMoPQRD5H3lU6tiRI2kzHF4Z1VOkuz5sRpjDQilkfDPQROxR-P0YIf$\"><span style=\"color: #666666\">example 2<\/span><\/a>). To grow, it needs people like you who are willing to help! We are looking for someone to help us connect with vendors in their area who would benefit from being part of the Center. Are you big on electrofishing? Help us connect with electrofishing backpack and boat companies. Are you involved in remote monitoring? Help us connect with companies that make great sondes.
