Hello, My name is Data and Technology Section<\/p><\/div>\n

Welcome to the Data and Technology Section of the American Fisheries Society! As discussed at the Annual Business meeting in Michigan, the Fisheries Information and Technology Section name change to the Data and Technology Section was approved by the parent society.<\/p>\n

We appreciate everyone who was a part of this significant change in our Section’s history. This is only the 3rd name change after 20 years of being FITS! The new name clearly aligns with the goals of the Section moving forward and will hopefully limit confusion for future members.<\/p>\n

The next step is to update all of our current social media and website information to reflect this change, as well as continue the conversations started in Michigan to provide a new look to match our new name! Exciting things will be coming soon which will be sent to membership as well as posted to our social media and website.
