FITS wants you!<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Fisheries Information and Technology Section works to connect fisheries scientists with the solutions they need for fisheries research and management.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #008080\">Center for Fisheries Technology and Collaboration Committee<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; This committee will work to establish an environment both at the Annual Meeting and online where scientists can find tech solutions they are looking for, learn more about their options, and establish contact with providers of that solution. Contact Rebecca Krogman for more information at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:rebecca.krogman@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rebecca.krogman@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #008080\">Conference Planning Committee<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; This committee will focus on planning special topics revolving around fisheries technology applications for presentation in a meeting symposium, coordination of related workshops, and recruitment of authors for special issue publications. The current effort for AFS 2020 is being led by Daniel Weaver and Paul Venturelli regarding Big Data research challenges and applications (contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:daniel.weaver@maine.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">daniel.weaver@maine.edu<\/a>\u00a0for more information).<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>Outreach and Communications Committee<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Led by Sarah Grasty, this committee works to share information with the Section, Society, and the public by managing the website, newsletters and social media.
