**VOLUNTEERS NEEDED**<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Subject experts are needed to assist on several efforts.<\/p>\n

  1. Regulatory changes to the\u00a0U.S. National Environmental Policy Act<\/span><\/strong> have been proposed that will have significant impacts to fisheries.<\/u><\/u>\n
      \n
    1. We need NEPA experts<\/span><\/span> to help review the proposed changes to identify concerns and provide information to Drue Winters as she drafts a response from AFS.<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n
    2. The comment period on these changes is short and ends in March so this is an ASAP.\u00a0<\/u><\/li>\n
    3. Please have a section volunteer contact Drue directly<\/u><\/u><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. The AFS Dam Removal Policy<\/span><\/strong> has expired<\/u><\/u>\n
        \n
      1. Volunteers are needed to work with Drue to update the AFS Dam Removal Policy<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n
      2. At this point, the group working on this policy is biased towards the east coast and does not have international input<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Climate change policy engagement<\/span><\/strong><\/u><\/u>\n
          \n
        1. It would be great to have expertise from\u00a0each section<\/b>\u00a0as this engagement will be a multi-year effort moving forward<\/u><\/u><\/li>\n
        2. AFS is looking to make some specific recommendations on actions that can be taken using expertise from each of the AFS units<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
