Each swim tunnel is designed to contain a swimming fish inside a test section large enough to allow for \u201cfree swimming\u201d, while keeping the total water volume of the (closed) entire swim chamber small enough for reliable\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/loligosystems.com\/products\/swim-tunnels\/systems\/core-swimming-respirometry-system-170ml230v50hz\/\">oxygen consumptions measurements.<\/a>\u00a0The swim chamber sits submerged in a surrounding water bath for\u00a0temperature control purposes. The transparent material surrounding the test section provides a clear view of the swimming animal(s), e.g., for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/loligosystems.com\/products\/behavior\/accessories\/video\/\">video filming<\/a>\u00a0from various angles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Many purposes.<\/strong>\u00a0We have various sizes of swim tunnels available, and we offer swim tunnels specifically for video filming, for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/loligosystems.com\/products\/swim-tunnels\/swim-tunnels\/open-flume-tank-230v50hz\/\">swimming individuals or groups of zebrafish fry-juveniles<\/a>\u00a0(or similar) or with a built-in underwater treadmill. Our swim tunnels can effectively swim a large variety of aquatic animals from larvae to juvenile and adult.
