This award recognizes the achievements of individuals who achieve early-career success on projects related to fish habitat research, policy, management, education, project implementation, communications and outreach, or some other endeavor in freshwater, coastal, and\/or marine environments. The Rising Star Award is administered as an American Fisheries Society (AFS), Fish Habitat Section (FHS)-level award in association with the National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP) and NOAA Fisheries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Past recipients of the Rising Star Award include Rebecca Krogman (2019), Evan Hayduk (2020), Michael Homer (2021), Joe Nohner (2022), and Robin DeBruyne (2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations are due May 1, 2024, to Kimberly Dibble.
