    Howdy! I was surprised by use of the term “flocculent” as a habitat component. I think of that as an adjective, and have seen “floc” used as a noun in environmental science. But I’m not the one out there looking at it, so tell me more about your choice to use that term. Thank you!

      Hi Cynthia! Great question. I used “flocculent” to describe an unknown material with loosely clumped texture, but upon further examination believe “precipitate” may have been more fitting. I plan to follow-up with this study to determine more characteristics about the material. Thank you!
