Virtual Annual Meeting – April 6-9, 2021

The Virginia Chapter invites you to share science and management information and experience in a virtual, online meeting.

Don’t miss your chance to join in on a great opportunity!!! The 2021 SDAFS meeting will be held virtually from April 6th – 9th. Our 2021 meeting will be entirely on-line using the Cvent platform.  This will be the first ever SDAFS Virtual Meeting! Attend from anywhere with a good internet connection. New technology and a nudge from COVID-19 have made this virtual meeting timely. Oral presentations will be pre-recorded and can be viewed at any time once posted in late March through July 31st.  Simply browse and click. There is no travel cost and registration is steal at $25 for professionals and $10 for students.  Look for Registration and Cvent Website Launch by March 5th.

The meeting will include four workshops and 120 oral and poster presentations on a range of topics from conservation and management of black basses, American Eel, crayfishes to urban fishing and management of coldwater resources.

 

Student participation:  If you are a student interested in being paired with a mentor for a virtual meeting, mark the appropriate selection on the registration form; you may also send an email to Amanda Rosenberger (arosenberger@tntech.edu), Chair of the Student Affairs Committee, stating your interest.

Mentor Participation: If you are a professional and interested in being a mentor for a virtual meeting, mark the appropriate selection on the registration form; you may also send an email to Amanda Rosenberger (arosenberger@tntech.edu), Chair of the Student Affairs Committee, stating your interest.

All oral-paper presenters: Please have pre-recorded presentation in .mp4 format to upload to the Cvent platform by COB March 26th.  This can be accomplished in ZOOM, PowerPoint and with other software/platforms.
