Nuestro miembro fundador y ex presidente, Miguel “Toño” García Bermúdez, asumirá la Presidencia de la Sociedad Americana de Pesquerías, siendo el primer hispano en recibir esta distinción en los 154 años de existencia de la sociedad.

This year’s central theme will be: “Conserving fishes and fishing traditions through knowledge co-production” ????????, with a special emphasis on the use of indigenous knowledge and its application to the sustainability of fishery resources. ????
Additionally, we have great news to share! ???? Our founding member and former president, Miguel “Toño” García Bermúdez, will assume the Presidency of the American Fisheries Society, becoming the first Hispanic to receive this distinction in the society’s 154-year history. ????
