About the Meeting Space
We can’t wait to see you all next week for our 2025 Chapter meeting! We have a packed schedule with 4 workshops, 14 full talks, 9 lightning talks, 4 posters and two socials for us to mingle and catch up. Don’t forget to also attend the business meeting where we will be electing new officers for president-elect and secretary. Remember that only dues paying members are allowed to vote in these elections. We are also looking for a Newsletter Editor and Social Media Chair. These are great leadership roles for someone who wants to network or build on your resume in leadership roles with minimal time commitment.
The workshops, presentations, business meeting and banquet will all be held in the same room, Room C, on the main floor of the lodge. It can be found on the opposite side of the room from the front desk, just past the gift shop. The room will be split in half for the workshops. Registration will be set up either just outside or just inside room C.
The Tuesday night fish fry will be outside Cabin 2 (weather permitted).
Presentations and Poster Information
Speakers giving full talks will have 20 mins for your presentation and questions. With this format, we suggest making your presentation 15 mins and leaving 5 mins for questions.
Speakers giving lightning talks, you have a strict 5 minutes to give your presentation. At 5 minutes, you will be cut off. Please practice this multiple times as it is very easy to go over your 5 minutes.
Speakers, you will load your talks at the registration desk. ALL Wednesday talks need to be loaded by 12:30pm on Wednesday and all Thursday talks need to be loaded by 6:30pm on Wednesday night.
Poster presenters, we will have the poster stands set up by noon on Wednesday the 5th. Please get your posters hung no later than the start of the business meeting (4:30pm on 2/5). We will have everything you need to set them up. Student poster presenters, you will be judged on your posters between 6:30 and 7:30pm on the night of the banquet, but we will let you know if judging finishes early.
If you volunteered to moderate a session, make sure to check the program to see if you were chosen! Instructions will be handed to you when you register.
If you volunteered to judge student presentations or posters, we will be in touch with you later this week.
