The Habitat Section of the American Fisheries Society facilitates professional networking and increases awareness of local and national fisheries issues. Officially, its mission is to encourage the advancement of knowledge and exchange of information on the broad scope of multidisciplinary fish habitat issues, including marine, estuarine and freshwater, among members of the Society who belong to the Section.
