Catfish 2020
The Third International Catfish Symposium
Catfishes are one of the most diverse groups of fishes in the world, and have significant socioeconomic importance to anglers, biologists, aquaculturists, aquarists, and conservationists. Catfish 2020 was the third international symposium dedicated to the conservation, ecology, and management of catfishes.
Books from prior symposiaProceedings from the previous two catfish symposia, Catfish 2000 and Catfish 2010, are available for purchase from the American Fisheries Society’s bookstore. These invaluable books contain information on catfish biology and ecology (e.g., life history, habitat use, and movement) and recent innovations in catfish management (e.g., collection methods, human dimensions, and nonnative introductions). These two proceedings are a great reference for anyone interested in catfishes, especially those charged with studying, managing, or conserving these important species. For additional information about Catfish 2010, please visit the Southern Division of AFS Catfish Management Committee’s webpage. |
