Mission Statement: The Small Impoundments Committee is one of nine technical committee of the Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society. It focuses on the management and use of public and private impoundments less than 500 acres. Committee members represent various organizations including state, federal, university and private entities. One of the goals of the committee is to foster information exchange regarding research and management of small impoundments in the southeast. More recently, the committee has been charged with identifying research needs.
