Potassium Permanganate application for deactivation

Good rotenone stewardship results from the prudent use of the product by taking responsibility of reducing environmental impacts.  Consistent with this, in flowing systems treated water must be deactivated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4).  Deactivation may be achieved by the addition of KMnO4 in liquid or solid form.  Most liquid applications use a reservoir with a metering device to dispense at a constant measurable rate.  In many cases, it is preferable to apply solid KMnO4 using a metering feeder.
