We are excited to host the 13th International Coregonid Symposium in Bayfield, Wisconsin, and welcome abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations. Please visit our website (www.coregonid2017.com) to submit an abstract and to find more information on the host city and the symposium program. All abstracts must be submitted online prior to March 15, 2017. Given that the International Coregonid Symposium has always embraced a theme of inclusion, the tradition has been to have a single session. For this reason, we ask that participants be open to the idea of presenting their research as either an oral or poster presentation.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we are fortunate to offer several different travel awards for students, Canadian biologists, and tribal biologists. We strongly encourage anyone that is eligible to visit the website for further instruction. Application materials must be submitted prior to the closing date of March 15, 2017 (i.e., same as the closing for abstracts). Given that Bayfield is a popular tourist destination, everyone that plans to attend the Symposium should consider booking their lodging reservations as early as possible. Please visit the “travel page” on the website for a list of local vendors for the week of September 10-15, 2017.

We are excited about the planning that has occurred thus far and look forward to hosting participants on the shore of Lake Superior! Another announcement will be sent when meeting registration opens on May 1, 2017.
