Submit symposia for AFS 2018 in Atlantic City!

Happy New Year Section members:

Please see the reminder [below] from Douglas Austen about the extended submission deadline for the 2018 AFS meeting in Atlantic City. The Section usually sponsors 2-3 sessions that are usually well attended. So, if you have an interest in or any ideas about a topic for a session at the 2018 meeting please do not hesitate to contact the Sections program chair, Andrew Whiteley (andrew.whiteley@mso.umt.edu) or any other excomm member for help in getting the proposal together.

Cheers,
Wendylee Stott
President
AFS Genetics Section

Reminder from Doug Austen:

[…] In the next couple of days an announcement will be sent to all AFS members notifying them of an extension of the deadline for submission to January 31. We are running low on current submissions and really need to encourage people to get creative, call their colleagues and pull something together. Every AFS Section should have something on the books for Atlantic City. There has got to be something that is relevant and timely for your section that would benefit from a symposium at the Atlantic City meeting (if not, you need to really think about what your section is doing!).

Let’s get creative and get people excited about building a great meeting in Atlantic City!

All the best,
Douglas Austen, Ph.D
