Trammel nets distinguish themselves from regular gill nets because instead of a single wall of netting, they have multiple walls. Instead of gilling fish, trammel nets capture fish after they swim through the large mesh and then entangle themselves in the smaller mesh, thus reducing the mortality rate of captured fish compared to regular gill nets. Trammel nets are more effective if you are targeting more than 1 species or size of species of fish. These nets come with a floating rope on to and a weighted rope on the bottom. Trammel nets can be floating, sinking, or drifting style nets, depending on how you are using them.
