Hello AFS Genetics Section Members,
I wanted to send out a reminder that proposals for symposia are now being accepted for the AFS 151st annual meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. The meeting is planned as a hybrid event with flexible in-person and virtual attendance and presentations options. The deadline for proposal submission is January 25th.
We already have our first symposia proposal. It focuses on the evolution of molecular genomic techniques in fisheries research, how new advances have addressed past challenges, and what the future may hold. We are looking forward to more great proposals from our members.
Symposia proposals can be submitted through the following link: https://www.cvent.com/c/abstracts/47f72f67-1442-46e3-bea6-486d50749c61 or by visiting the AFS homepage at fisheries.org, navigating to the Events tab, and clicking on the 2021 Annual Meeting Symposium Submission link.
Please let us know if you have or will submit a fish-genetics themed symposium proposal.
Best,
Garrett + AFS-GS ExCom
