CA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE JOB POSTING: SENIOR HYDRAULIC ENGINEER

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is recruiting for an energetic and self-motivated Senior Hydraulic Engineer to provide fisheries and hydraulic engineering expertise that support the planning, design, and construction of stream crossing and wetlands design projects being implemented by the California Department of Transportation. The Incumbent also plans, conducts and/or reviews hydrologic and hydraulic engineering studies and local and regional scale restoration projects to help solve some of the most pressing fish and wildlife challenges facing the Department, especially those restoration projects funded by CDFW. The position is in the Conservation Engineering Branch which provides technical expertise in the fields of fish passage, hydraulic engineering, hydrology, engineering geology, hydrogeology, fluvial geomorphology, and geochemistry to meet the needs of the Department’s programs and Regional responsibilities on a statewide basis. The office location is in West Sacramento, Yolo County, California.
