The AFS Fisheries Information & Technology Section (AFS-FITS) is in the process of reviewing some of the important pieces of software it has provided over the years. Recent changes in operating systems for PC computers have rendered older programs potentially unusable in current environments. These issues led AFS-FITS to work with programmers to recently update the Fisheries Analysis and Modeling Simulator (FAMS). We are now working to determine if there is a need to perform a similar update to Fish BC (used for fishery age and growth analysis). The link below will take you to an online survey that addresses this topic. The survey will be open through the end of April. Feel free to share this link with any colleagues who may be interested. Questions or comments about the survey should be directed to Jeff Kopaska, by email at Jeff.Kopaska@dnr.iowa.gov, or by phone at 515-432-2823 X109.
