The Fisheries Information and Technology Section is proud to announce the 2019 Partnership Travel Award to send a Section member to the 2019 Annual Meeting of OFWIM, the Organization of Fish and Wildlife Information Managers. OFWIM is a fellow non-profit organization that promotes the management and conservation of natural resources by facilitating technology and information exchange among managers of fish and wildlife information.
This year’s meeting is at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia (an amazing place, check out the photos!). The meeting will be held October 6-10, 2019.
FITS is looking for a fresh face to represent the Section at the OFWIM conference. The award covers up to $1,000 in travel expenses and may be used to cover airfare/driving expenses, meals, registration (provided at the OFWIM member rate), and lodging. The award recipient will represent FITS during the OFWIM Hacker’s Ball and provide a summary of their experience to FITS afterward, and is required to submit a paper for the meeting.
Applications are due AUGUST 5, 2019!
