What does being a member of the Fisheries Information and Technology Section (FITS) get you?

How about assistance attending the Annual Meeting?! This year, FITS is excited to cover Early Bird or Virtual registration for AFS Baltimore (6-10 November 2021) for 10 lucky FITS members who qualify as Students or Early Career Professional (https://fisheries.org/membership/types-of-membership/#student), and joined FITS on or before 4 June 2021 (membership is free for Students and Early Career Professionals!).

We (the ExCom) know that the past year has been tough for travel and networking, and that many of you may need help to attend the Baltimore meeting. We believe that the AFS community is important, so want to make it accessible for more of our members.

This is just one of the ways that we are supporting current members, and growing our community of professions who have expertise or interested in data collection, management, and analysis!

Winners will be notified the second week of June, and have until 14 August to accept or decline the offer. Unless other arrangements are required, reimbursement will be in the form of a check from FITS that is made out to each winner and either delivered during the meeting or mailed to the address of their choosing.
