We are looking for Data and Technology Section members who would like to get more involved and learn about our Section and AFS!

• Data and Technology Awards committee- Contact Jennifer Moran (jennifer.moran@myfwc.com)
  • This committee will manage the three following award programs:
  • Partnership travel award
    • https://units.fisheries.org/fits/awards-and-recognition/partnership-travel-award/

• • • Two open periods
      • Application open: September 1 through February 28
        • For meetings held between May 1 and October 31
        • Decision by March 31

• • • • Application open: March 1 through August 31
        • For meetings held between November 1 and April 30
        • Decision by September 30

• • • • Volunteer Responsibilities:
        • Monitor applications and determine award winners
        • Email winners & write announcement of winners to be posted to website.

• • Membership lottery
    • Annually, December-January timeframe
    • For 20 Early Career and regular/retired current members to receive Data and Technology Section membership
    • Volunteer Responsibilities:
      • Randomly generate winner list based on most recent member list (list from secretary).
      • Email winners & write announcement of winners to be posted to website.

• • Conference Registration giveaway
    • Spring/early Summer announcement and drawing for fall meeting
    • Volunteer Responsibilities:
      • Randomly generate winner list based on most recent member list (list from secretary).
      • Email winners & write announcement of winners to be posted to website.
